OH MY

Apparently this is how I look when The Sartorialist takes a picture of me. I didn't know I could smile that big! I'm all giggly.

QUITE AN EXCITING DAY

today I had one of the most exciting blogger meets blogger experiences I may ever have! I had an opportunity to meet Mr. Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist at Paul Smith, the store that is next to my job where I spend most of my hours at - Agent Provocateur. Anyways, the lovely folks at Paul Smith gave us a invitation where we forgot to RSVP, but the lovely lady at the door pretended to check our names on the list and ushered us right in past the line around the corner that had been forming since 3pm (it was about 7:30 by the time we made it next door). And well anyways, long story short - he took my picture!!! Woo! I was wearing one of my own skirts (tomato red) and of course, a signature swirly pompadour hairstyle...and lets hope that he posts it on his blog! Amazing! I was sooo honored. Mr. Sartorialist, I thank you very much. That was a very grand compliment of you to take a photo of silly me, and all the lovely words you said has me swooning.

I'VE BEEN FLIPPED

Been stuck at work so much, I feel like I am flipped upside down!

I SOLD MY FIRST GARMENT

in the store that is. Very exciting, as I am usually next to my pieces working with my clients, it is so exciting to know that someone out there is still interested in my products! I had quite a spout of energy when I found out, running around the house, jumping on the bed, etc. I hope that every sale will feel this exciting to me.

I finally had time to complete the other three babydolls that were lying cut out in piles, among sewing a few shirts for friends, a dress for a lovely lady and a cocktail dress for myself....more to come on that one!

And...
I had time & enough pink silk & trims leftover to make a babydoll & brief to donate to the Tahoe Pink Foundation, a fundraiser for local breast cancer care. I grew up in Tahoe, so anything I can do to support the local community is important to me. This set below will be on a silent auction on the 26th of this month I believe. Email me if you'd like to know where!
